Use Search Limiters

Check Spelling

Make sure your search terms are spelled correctly. If you're unsure of the spelling you can use wildcards or the Advanced Search function with Enable Sound-Alike Matching turned on. The search engine will attempt to find words that sound similar to your search terms, but it's always best to try to spell the search terms correctly.

Enable Sound-Alike Matching is turned on in this example:

The more similar words you use in a search, the more relevant your results will be.

Use Quotation Marks

Use quotation marks to find words which must appear adjacent to each other, for example, "Precinorm Protein". Otherwise, the search results will include the word Precinorm and the word Protein, but not necessarily in that order. The words may appear anywhere, and in any order, within the document.

Note: If you are using the Advanced Search function with "any", "all", or "phrase" matching then quotes can only be used when "any" matching is selected. Quotes are ignored if the "all" or "phrase" matching is selected.

Example:

Find (Try it. Use Back button to return.)

Use Search Limiters

Searches can be limited to a specific document type in the simple search function.

In the advanced search function, searches can be further limited to the entire document, document title only, or document body only.
